Paranoid Productions, led by former Rainbow Six Patriots director Richard Rouse III, has revealed The Church in the Darkness. The stealth game about infiltrating a South American cult in the 1970s will release for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in early 2017.
Actress Ellen McLain -- Portal's GLaDOS -- and her real-life husband John Patrick Lowrie -- Team Fortress 2, Dota 2 -- play the the husband-and-wife cult leaders, whose roles may change when replaying The Church in the Darkness. The story hinges on the pair.
"Isaac & Rebecca are always the same characters on some level, but as you're playing certain lines of dialog will change depending on their personality in that playthrough," Writer/Director/Designer Rouse told IGN. "As you're infiltrating the town, you're constantly hearing them talking over the PA system. And in some playthroughs you may hear them get in a fight, because this time Isaac and Rebecca may not agree on the future path for the Mission."
