Is The Division This Year’s Destiny?

For many, myself included, the dots between what Destiny offers, and what The Division is seemingly leaning toward are easy to connect.

Though we've already detailed the basics of Tom Clancy's The Division, the differences between The Division and Destiny, and the steps Ubisoft Massive is taking to avoid the disappointments that marred Destiny's first year, the question remains: "What the hell is The Division?"

While you may have heard comparisons or read synopses, it's not until you get your hands on The Division that you really begin to understand it, to get a feel for what it's all about. Indeed, some of you have already put your hands on a small slice of The Division thanks to its alpha and closed beta periods, but those only provided the briefest of glimpses as to the game's structure and scope, like being allowed to touch the thing but not really get to grips with it.
