The Carolina Panthers will beat the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50, according to Madden NFL 16.
The annual Madden simulation predicts Cam Newton and the Panthers will take down Peyton Manning and the Broncos by a score of 24-20. Newton will be crowned the game's MVP after 216 yards and one touchdown. Broncos' Demaryius Thomas will be the game's top wide receiver with six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown.
What's most interesting is the simulation has the Panthers up by 17-0 at the half, losing the lead to a Broncos' comeback, but still wining on a last second run by Newton. Maybe we're in for a nail-biter come Sunday night.
Just how accurate is the annual prediction? According to EA Sports, the simulation has guessed nine of the last twelve championships correctly, even nailing the 28-24 score in the Patriots' victory over the Seahawks. What's even more impressive is last year's simulation came very close to calling Tom Brady and Julian Edelman's final stats, and even called the Patriots' fourth-quarter comeback.
