After Bricking my Elephone P9000 because of SP_Flash_Tool crashing halfway through a recovery flash, i got the UMI Super as its a comparable spec
Neither can be unlocked via fastboot oem unlock, because when you try the UP Volume button doesn't seem to work allowing you to continue
i would much prefer this method as it takes away layers (imho) that aren't needed. Why use a GUI & scatter txt when you could load a recovery straight from fastboot? And then flash ROM's
