In today's crowded superhero landscape, Amazon's The Tick reboot has the chance to "do something really different."
Created in 2001, the live action version of The Tick was cancelled after just nine episodes. Though the show raked in an average of 4 million viewers on each episode, Fox considered the numbers catastrophic.

"I said at the time the network didn't necessarily get it," Barry Johnson, executive producer of both the original and reboot series, told Entertainment Weekly. "And I don't know that we were doing exactly the version that was right, but we were happy with it."
