iZombie returns Tuesday night for Season 2 with a ton in motion. The show ended its first season on a notably strong note, with a terrific season finale that found Blaine (David Anders) transformed back into a human, while Liv (Rose McIver) chose to save a dying Major (Robert Buckley) by biting him… only to use her final batch of the zombie cure on him, after he made it clear he wanted no part of her undead life.
With Season 2 here, I sat down with the show's executive producer and co-showrunner, Diane Ruggiero-Wright, to discuss what's next for Liv and her friends, family (and estranged friends and family) in Season 2. Not to mention the source of brains Liv will be consuming in upcoming episodes, temporarily transforming her own temperament and attitude, and letting McIver show off a bevy of skills in the process.
