EMUI killing application during Deep Sleep

Hello team,

As you probably know, there is probably an issue in EMUI and killing «automatic processes» application like Tasker & Macrodroid even though they are activated in protected mode and in ignore list of optimization.

I have tried Tasker & Macrodroid as far now without any luck. EMUI version NXT-L29C432B320


Any advise please ?

Can't acces phone, after pattern was changed

Hello to you all!
So, I have been struggling with this problem for a week. Searching on the Internet and especially on XDA, but I can't find a way to solve this problem.
The problem is with my sister's phone, a Sony Xperia Z1 which we can't unlock anymore. This is since a friend of her changed the unlock pattern as a "joke" and she was so dumb to not remember the new pattern. :rolleyes:
As I've already done some research I'll sum up the things I've already tried, which problems I encountered and in which state the phone actually is:

1. The phone is not rooted
2. There is no recovery menu. Obviously tried factory reset but can't acces the menu.
3. USB debugging is not activated. I can't activate it because I can't unlock the phone and acces the settings...
4. Tried to flash it (via FlashTool) to put the recovery menu on it --> failed because not in USB debugging mode
5. I can't connect to wifi
6. There's no gmail account linked
7. The secret code *#*#7378423#*#* does not work (I think because it's updated to Lollipop?)
8. I read about Aroma File Manager, but same problem again. Can't acces it because I can't acces the recovery menu.

If anybody knows another solution to unlock this phone, I would be very grateful (and my sister too :D)

I have tried to pair my Samsung Original Level Link 2-Way Bluetooth Dongle but it's not showing in the Bluetooth settings.

If it doesn't I was wondering if that was why?

I did have a chat about it with a Samsung support & they told me to wait till a new modal come out. Great help.

Screen or worse?

Hey guys. I have the samsung galaxy s6 active and yesterday while working on my car i laid down on it and somehow when i pulled it out of my pocket the screen was flashing white and colors up and down it. If i smacked it hard enough i could see the clock and access the phone, but it's basically done for. I went out and bought an s7 active to replace it (although i had first had the s7 and lifeproof case, but later changed my mind). My question is, does this sound like a digitizer/lcd issue or is it farther back in the phone? The phone is functional when the screen "cooperates" although 1/3 of the screen still flickers even when it "works". But i can touch icons, input my pin, etc. So what do you think it needs and can you point me to parts if so? And is it easy to disassemble? I'd like to repair it and keep it as a spare, sell it or give it to a family member.

Root d815P Impossible?

Hi guys.

I had LG G3 and I just bought the LG g4, had in all my phones unlocked root and boot.

I'm from Colombia and here always sell the international version of the phone, but I just took a big surprise and desepcion that the version they sell here is l H815P is not international. the worst is that I have all day trying to make root and say you can not do anything with this phone.:crying::crying::crying::crying:

Please someone to guide me not to lose hope.

sd card (in android phone) suddenly became RAW format - how to fix it ?

Hi,
The 32GB Samsung EVO in my AMOI N828 became suddenly RAW format (instead of fat32).
I have tried to get the most data out of it with EaseUS data recovery wizard ( and with a bunch of other programs too) but the SD card lost most of its data.
But even when i want to format it again, it says RAW format, so i tried to repartition it with MINITOOL Partition wizard but without any luck.
I cannot create a new partition like fat32, primary with default clustersize. When i click APPLY the program tries to create a partition but after a minute the programs seems to have created it but in fact the SD stays "unallocated". Therefore i cannot format it either.
I have tried in win7 via CMD, diskpart, list disk, select disk, clean (gave error) , create partition primary(gave error)....but nothing happens and there is always an error-log.
Also tried in diskmanagement to format but without succes ( because it is still in RAW format ofcourse)

So, i have tried almost anything but nothing works.
Has anyone another fix perhaps ? Or is my SD a total loss ?

Doogee DG310 Voyager2 does not boot after flashing

I have a Doogee DG310 Voyager2 phone I download the rom from the website and using sp tool I tried to flash it
but at the first boot I have black screen with retro illumination only and I cannot even see the recovery mode.

Flashing Stock 6.01 (PG1) from sammobile, the device wont boot post install

Hello everyone, I need some help here.

I downloaded the latest from sammobile

G900PVPU3CPG1_G900PSPT3CPG1_G900PVPU3CPG1_HOME.tar .md5

and ODIN v3.12.3

I placed the tar file in the AP slot, installed everything, I receive the final okay and the phone reboots to the stock samsung boot animation, and just sits.

Does anyone have any idea why I can't seem to get past the boot animation?

I can pull the battery and install TWRP, and boot to recover fine, but no matter how long the device will NOT get past the boot animation.

Is it possible that I have a bad download? Can I "downgrade" to PE2, without risk of bricking the device somehow?

SD problems in j7 Marshmallow

Recently upgraded to Marshmallow and flashed the debloated ROM available in this forum. My SD card has been behaving funny after that. Cant use Apps2SD (shows as a read only drive) and cant format the partition (get a long command error message). The FAT partition seems to be working fine.

Anyone facing a similar issue ?
Anyone have a solution ??

I would like to get a feature to:
.) playback speed from 5% to 800%
.) PAN/moving with 1 finger
(Would be great, if it can be configured - of course, the other needs to be disabled (audio, brightness)
to activate always with 2 finger would bring confusing users as 2 finger is doing:
=> playback speed -> 2 finger up/down
=> zoom -> 2 finger diagonal or left/right
=> pan/movement -> 1 finger slide/pan around

Help GT-S7580 HARDBRICK

Hello
i have a gt-s7580 that was stuck on bootloop .
i had access to recovery and download mode .
steps :
1: used smartswitch it stuck from the begining.
2: flashed many firmwares with odin but no luck it stucks while writing system always
3: flashed a cyanogen mod rom with twrp but as always it stuck at writing system...
4: used repair firmware with pit S7580XXUBOA1_OXXBOA1_4.2.2 (4 file firmware boot,csc,modem,pda)
and now it shows nothing on screen no dl mode no recovery no samsung logo and when i connect to the pc it shows unknown device
device id : USB\VID_0A5C&PID_E920&REV_0001
and that happens when i try to enter download mode only
i dont have any odin logs to show :(
i need help ,, sorry for my bad english thank you

Why is it so hard to give a phone away?

I tried to give away a HTC m8 to a local phone repair shop today. I had disassembled it to remove the motherboard which contains the onboard storage. Aside from that and the broken volume buttons, the phone was definitely usable for parts - battery, cameras, screen, speakers .etc

As I entered the shop, I explain to the owner that, rather than disposing of the phone, I'd like to give it away to someone who can use the parts - like a mobile repair shop.

Little did I know, this guy would then preach to me about how a HTC M8 cannot ever be repaired as the metal case would "snap because of its unibody design".

Bear in mind he's saying this to a guy who has a disassembled M8 in his hand (no snapped case) and had successfully replaced the battery a few months earlier.

As someone who is little more than a hobbyist when it comes to electronics & phone repair, this rather amused me.

Issue I faced

Hi two times I faced this issue, When download any game or stopped the game while downloading on CM security store. It effect screen lock, which is just a slide lock, What 's my issue is when I slide open lock it keeps restarts continuously. So I switched off and on This time didn't slide for lock and just dragged notification bar and changed the screen lock pattern. It works but when I re changed to slide same repeats, So what it might causes to happen like this.

DSLR Controller v0.99.5 BETA and LG X210

I am using the DSLR Controller on a Motorola G smart phone together with a Canon EOS 7D. In this Setup both the USB cable Connection as well as the Wi-fi Version via the router works perfectly.

I have now purchased a new Smartphone, namely the LG X210 and installed the app on it. Unfortunately, neither the USB cable Connection nor the Connection via the Wi-Fi router works. I only get the message that no USB or WiFi device can be detected. The Android Version is the 5 Version.

Is anybody using the LG X210 phone successfully with that app? Any other LG phone that works? Any other suggestions/tips that could make the app running on that phone?

LG G3 Convert VS985 to D855G or enable currently blocked frequency spectrum

I have a VS985 and want to use it on Wind Mobile (AWS, with bands 1700/2100 MHz). Currently the phone does not recognize these frequencies however as I understand the D855G does. If these two phones are in fact identical hardware wise this means it is only a software issue.

My question is how to I convert. Can I just flash the 855G software onto the phone or will this brick it?

I have just downgraded to Android 4 and rooted the phone. Want to bring it back up to 5.1.1 or 6 but generic software version (not Verizon) this time.

Stuck at honor-logo

I'm sorry that probably many have asked the same quesiton, but I'm desperate. The case is I followed the guide on rootyourmobile dot com how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-twrp-and-root-huawei-honor-7 to unlock, install twrp and root. All went good until installing SuperSu through TWRP, where the installation process got cancelled and I'm now stuck at honor-logo. I can still access twrp(it's in chinese though), by holding volum up + power, but I dont manage to access fastboot mode.

I realize this is a way to go. I guess my problem is not getting into fastboot, I also tried all options under Reboot in TWRP. Should I let the battery run out? Any help is much appreciated. Hope my phone is not total garbage...

[HELP] me create Android 6.0 or 7.0 ROM for Getnord Onyx

Many of you probably never heard of such device. GETNORD ONYX

It's a first (as far as I know) lithuanian android device. Mine specifically only runs 4.4.4 version of android, and when I contacted the developers for information, they said, that there won't be any updates coming to it, EVER. Reason being that the never version of this phone has different navigation button layout... Bummer.

What else:
This phone doesn't have anything done to it before on the internet, so I would have to port new ROM from scratch (kinda).
I tried asking devs for kernel source code couple of days ago, but they haven't replied yet (guess they never will).
I couldn't find a similar device (due to lack of knowledge of hardware inside the device, only the basic stuff you get in brochures).

So, is it even possible to port Marshmallow or Nougat (whichever might be easier) for this device, if yes: could you guys post links to threads and guides explaining required procedures (for completely unsupported device). At least a way to extract as much information from this device.

Root Any Android Phone by Modifying Stock Rom files

My Micromax Canvas Knight 2 (e471) running Lollipop 5.0.2 does not have a root strategy. So I started searching all the forums and tried so many methods like:
Unpacked boot.img , changed ro.secure=0,ro.debuggable=1 etc.
But nothing worked. No custom roms or CWM mods for this device. Cant get root access for Mediatek device since my device is Snapdragon 615.
Cant push anything to system\bin : No Permission
Please help me in Rooting this device some way. I have even installed Ubuntu and tried but my device did not get detected while using 'adb devices' command.

I badly need the root as I haven't got the chance to explore all the features of root access. There should be some way even if its so hard and time consuming to do and risky ryt?
Someone please help me with a solution.

Is the launcher on Nexus Devices (Marshmallow & Nougat) the same as GPlay Services?

With all this talk about the leaked Nougat Nexus-Only launcher.apk doing the rounds, I was wondering what the CURRENT situation is with Nexus devices on both marshmallow & Nougat (i'm mainly interested in the 5 & 5X)?

Am I right in thinking that Google Play Services replaces the AOSP launcher with the Google Now Launcher? If so, do the 5 & 5X currently use this Google Now Launcher, or a further different/unique one? And is this the case for Marshmallow & Nougat right now?

Also, even on Google-Play-Service-ified android phone (like the Nexus phones), is the stock AOSP launcher still on the device (Say if I were to disable the Google Now Launcher)? Or is it physically not present?

N9208 won't wake up from sleep every time after lock

I have big problem with my note 5 n9208. Every time when it goes to sleep it would not wake on and I must do a soft reset to turn it on.

i was using mx rom with kryptonian kernel, yesterday i flash XerXes Artemisia kernal on top of it :rolleyes:
now my phone getting bootloop while showing boot animation, bootanimation stuck and phone restarting again and again, really i cant switch of my device now its restarting, i used red switch to turn it of but , wen i connect to charger it restarting not going to charging mode
my pblm is i cant connect to flashtool ,i tried lot by pressing vol down and connecting usb cable , its not booting into flashmod is ther anyway to fix it ???????????:laugh::fingers-crossed:

[Teclast x98 Air 3G] Remix OS 2.0 based on Android 5.1.1

Hi to all,
I'm not a dev, but I really appreciate the work made by some users of official Teclast Forum.
I fund a new version of Remix OS 2.0 of Teclast x98 Air / Air 3G.
At the moment, you need to fully repartitioning in order to get the flash works, cause Remix OS 2.0 uses a System partition of 2 Gb. So, on dual boot tablets, You need to re-install Windows 10 after installing Remix 2.0.

Here some screenshot of Remix OS 2.0 on my Teclast x98 Air 3G:





Install guide:
1) Download ROM and the new Boot.img;
2) Replace the new Boot.img in the unzipped Rom folder;
3) Install using Intel MFT;
4) Enjoy and press Thanks.

Screen off memo - can't use top buttons

Hey all,

For some reason, on my Note 7 when I pull the stylus out and write on the screen off memo feature, I cannot press the buttons at the top (i.e. pin/erase/delete/save)!

It *did* work, but a matter of hours later I can no longer access these buttons. I wonder if another app is inadvertently blocking them?

Any ideas? Cheers.

Samsung Galaxy S7 - Samsung Cloud

Hello everybody,

according to the current 165MB update of Android 6.0.1 (G930FXXU1BPH6 / G930FAUT1BPH1 / G930FXXU1BPH1) there is an under settings the new menu item "Samsung Cloud". However, cloud adoption is not working despite logging on the Samsung account. There comes the error message "Use can not be calculated. It is a server error occurred."

Who knows the problem? Is there a solution?

How is the S7 Edge's internal audio?

Hi!
I'm looking to upgrade from my ancient LG G2, and since I'm listening to music a lot (!), I am looking for a phone that could also be an upgrade in terms of audio quality. Other than that, I'm looking for 5.5 inch QHD screen, 3k+ ma/h battery, expandable storage.

Should I go ahead and buy the Edge, or would I be better off waiting for the LG V20, which is rumored to have superior audio quality?

P.S, I'm listening to MP3 files through my Beyerdynamic DX i30.

Car bluetooth recognizes but disconnects when video changes

When I get in my car it will recognize and connect to bluetooth, I will go to youtube to play music. Everything works fine but when the video changes to the next song, it will lose connection and pause the playback. If i push play on the phone, sound only comes out of the phone and not out of my car speakers.

G3 stuck in boot loop

I had my G3 replaced by verizon after a hardware failure. The new one shipped with 47A, and I attempted to roll back to 10B using the TOT method, but it gave me the dreaded "there is no ks version" error. I checked and it's NOT one of the K revision phones. Anyway, I gave up on flashing it for now but decided to try rooting it with Kingroot. That failed as well. In the meantime I've received the notification to upgrade to 48A and since it kept bugging me about it, I went ahead and told it to upgrade. It failed with an error code and just sat there, unresponsive. So I pulled the battery and now it's stuck in a boot loop. It turns on, vibrates, and shows the LG splash screen. Then it reboots. So it's definitely bricked at the moment. I tried rolling back to 47A with the kdz method, which appeared to work but it's still doing the same thing. Tried the 48A kdz, same effect.

Does anyone have any suggestions or is this thing toast?

Charger Animation not changing after charger disconnection.

My LG G2 ATT version is showing a weird behavior nowadays. Even after disconnecting the charger cable from the port, the display shows the charging animation. It keeps showing the charging animation till next restart. This behavior is showing only on wall charger, no issues after charging from Laptop.

Kindly advise a solution for this.

N910c system ui stopped when taking screenshot

I am using Galaxy note 4 N910c with eRobot rom ver 10.1 . After i installed a theme on theme store i took a screenshot but phone said : " Unfortunately , System UI has stopped " . I deleted the theme and used the default theme but system ui still crashed . Can anyone help me please . Thank you very much

LG G5' s some problems...

1- when I put it in charge in off it turns on and continue charging.
2-light sesnore isn't very good and allways is more then I need.
3-I didint find the smart stay or smart screen in setting and it is very bad when I want to read a book with my phone.

Moving Pics from 1 album to Another??

Does anyone know how I can move pics from camera album to another album??

Example: When I take a pic of my truck, that pic automatically goes to the album named "camera", now I want to move that truck pic to my album named "truck".

Any idea how to do this?

HTC ONE E8 not booting... Guys, please help me to gets this thing turn on..

I was on the phone and it died. I immediately plugged in, turned on and attempted to make call (it was really urgent:crying:), it again died. Now that I have it plugged in, and have done for about 25 minutes, the orange LED is flashing, and the screen shows up with the battery image with the electric bolt inside it to show that it's charging. But I'm fairly sure that iimage of the battery should start filling up with green colour to indicate the battery level, not sure though. It's not turning on and I can't get it to fast boot either. I tried different key combinations, but nothing helped..

Oem unlock is not allowed

Hello,
Earlier today i bought the OP3 global edition. I want to root it now to change the DPI (too low for me).
I tried to follow a guide in one plus forums and for some reason the device return: "unlock is not allowed".

i am using windows OS with minimal adb and fastboot, the device detected by my system.
any one has that problem too or have some idea how to fix it?

I need help rooting my xperia z2 D6503 build 23.5.A.0.575 android version 6.0.1

So I guess the title explains everything but I'll describe a little.
I've tried Googling it but no luck there, there's always a link missing or something goes wrong, or it's another version and not mine.
I'm having some problems understanding some things as well. Here's a list of things I don't completely understand:
What is flashing?
What is flashing a ROM?
what is flashing a pre rooted zip file?
What is flashing a bootloop fix zip file (I've seen you will need this after the root on this version)?
Will flashing remove all my apps?
Will I have to flash something to root my Xperia?

I'm pretty new to the whole rooting world but since my warranty is about to void I want to root my phone, why not if so?
About the rooting tools. I have a Linux Mint OS so I prefer Linux compatible tools though I can run a Virtual Machine or something for the rooting. Maybe borrow my brother's computer.

Any help will be appreciated, I don't know what to do anymore, spent few hours trying to root my phone already.

Note4 N910C (Exynos) can be rooted but my bootloader is locked. Howto unlock it?

I've been trying for over a week now to install a custom rom on my Samsung N910C (Exynos) OS=5.1.1 (Baseband=N910CXXU1C0J5).
I am able to root the phone and I'm able to install TWRP to flash a ROM. But I cannot install any bootloader as when I try via ODIN I get a fail with logs as follows:

I'd really like to install Dr Ketan's rom or Sweet_ROM_V17.1 but after flashing the ROM in twrp it goes into a bootloop. I suspect its because I need to install a bootloader.
Can someone offer a solution to my bootloader problem? I've tried a whole heap of bootloaders but it seems locked.

BUT when it does get into a bootloop I go back into ODIN and install the stock OS from sammobile (N910CXXU2COJ5_N910CGBL2COJ1_N910CXXU1COJ5_HOME.ta r.md5) and I get the phone back to factory stock.
I then can root it and install TWRP and try again.

Any help would be appreciated.

In-Call audio cutting out completely, forced to reboot phone to restore audio each ti

So I've had the persistent problem of losing my Call Audio supposedly after my phone lies idle for a period of time, forcing me to reboot each and every time I want to make a call. I am using a custom variant of CM13 by Synergy, but I never had this problem until recently and I've had the ROM for months. I assume it's and app but I'm not sure. I'd just like some guidance. Any would be appreciated. I'll be glad to provide any additional info. Thank you!

Gmail not syncing since Nougat update

I updated to Nougat and now Gmail will not sync automatically. I have to swipe down in the app to get it to sync. All sync setting are turned on and I have tried disabling and force stopping the app as well as multiple reboots and nothing seems to be fixing the problem. Is this a known issue with the update? i read some rumors that android 6 soon is coming to my phone sm-j500fn and tablet sm-t555 soon.
* tablet has unamed custom rom. android version 5.0.1
* phone rooted. android version 5.1.1
* twrp installed on both and knox tripped on both

however i am unsure about some stuff.
should i use odin to upgrade? is it possible to keep appdata when upgrading using odin? do i need to wait for android 6 rooting, if i want to reroot phone after upgrading?

Kindle Fire HDX Boot loop issue

Since, yesterday my Kindle Fire HDX 7 is on boot loop and I haven't found any solution yet :confused:

OS version : 13.3.2.4
Rooted : Yes
Bootloader unlocked : No

The screen is stuck at the Boot animation (Kindle Fire Logo)

also, when I press power + vol down (nothing happens)...Kindle keeps on rebooting :(

while the device is in booting state, I connected it to my Windows 10 laptop and all i can see a MTP device connected in device manager.

Is it possible to unbrick it again ? any hope :confused:

OnePlus 3 and Miracast

Hi guys,
In the last year I was using a dongle, Wireless Display Microsoft Adapter version 3.0.124.0, with good results with a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a notebook, Toshiba P50-A-14L.
I cannot say the same for OP3.

With OOS 3.2.4 the video lags and the sound is metallic, with others roms, like cm 13 arter kernel pacman op3lite, it doesn't even connect, while the PC and the s4 continue to perform well.

Is there anyone with the same issue or somebody with a solution?

I ported this Emoji from Clash Royale game!
How to install:
1) Download Clash royale emoji file
2) Open Root explorer
3) Go to Downloaded file extract it
4) Rename extracted file to Notocoloremoji.ttf
5) Go to system->fonts find Notocoloremoji.ttf and make a backup then replace it with renamed clash royale emoji.
6) Reboot enjoy it

pink line down screen

well i woke up the other morning to find a pink line down my screen, the phone had never been dropped it just went over night.
If u tapped the screen where the samsung badge is the pink line would go but soon return.
Anyway i sent my phone back to samsung and today i received it back with a new screen.

what shocked me though was that they did a health check on it and found that the charger cable was faulty, the charger was faulty and the battery was faulty too!! they where replaced also.
The phone is only a few months old and its always been charged with the samsung charger etc so how can they go faulty so quick? or could this be a ploy from the samsung repair place to charge extras?

Im starting to debate whether to get shut of the phone asap if this is how quickly thinks can start to fail, just glad i was still in warranty

Please help, Failed to flash Xolo Black official Firmware through Qfil flash tool.

:confused: Please help me. I tried to flash Xolo Black original firmware through proper instruction. but after click download button, there is result as download failed. (Failed to switch to emergency download mode) tried 3/4 times and every times same results. (I installed qualcomm driver also). any other option or any suggestion? my phone screen fully bricked. power light shows as blue when it charging and other tones as normal. There are different sources for developing roms now,but some of them have a MM bootloader which needs to be re unlocked again.so i request devs to add the status of bootloader(will their rom keep the bootloader unlocked or will it lock it).This would be very helpful for me and some others as i see there is always questions on the roms threads about the bootloader status.

Unable to Receive Call and Stuck on Call incoming Window.

I am using Moto G 3rd gen XT1550 Marshmallow stock version with Latest update by OTA.
Means my phone is fully updated with current available stock rom.
But sometimes when call is coming...the calling receiving option does not work.
I can not accept or disconnect call....
Just stuck while it automatically disconnect after full ringtone.
It's very annoying....
Pls help me....why it's happen...

lock screen security

so i have a joyin ul135. i realised that in the settings there is no option to turn on a lockscreen. simply put, my personal accounts are associated with this device for spotify, amazon, netflix etc, and i dont want anybody to have access to this when i drop it in to the mechanic etc.

does anyone have a recommendation (app recommendation), that they personally use to lock the screen/device that they find works really well with their joying headunit?

MOTO G3 Turbo Edition | Xposde framework Installation Problem

I have been trying to install xposed framework on Moto G turbo edition but i can't get through it properly. Also in xposed installer i'm getting a message saying"The latest version of xposed is not currently active. Did you install the framework and reboot?" but when i try to install the framework, i am stuck with error 255 :( . And in the framework section of the xposed installer there is other message telling me that xposed is not compatible with my android SDK. but i have seen other people using it. I have tried older versions also but couldn't get it working. can anyone help in this matter???.
I am currently running android 6.0.1

Problem with Mi3: rebooting at Mi logo

Hi ppl. I have problem with my Mi3. Before 2 days I installed MIUI V8 6.8.25. Then I installed TWRP and Su, and at the end of the day my phone just started to rebooting. I can put my phone in fastboot mode, but the phone can't load ROM. It's rebooting all time at Mi logo :( I tried with MIUI V8 6.8.25 beta and MIUI V7 V7.5.1.0 stable (in both cases ROM is installed via fastboot). I can't run recovery with Pwr+Vol Up, just fastboot with Pwr+Vol Down.... I can't shutdown my phone. It's rebooting all time, or I can leave it in fastboot mode. Thanks for any help!

How to disable constant roaming notification whilst abroad?

Hi all,

I am using an S6 Edge and whenever I'm abroad I see a permanent notification that roaming is deactivated and I should activate it. I cannot swipe the message away. It's permanent.
I also get a message that data connection was disconnected because roaming is deactivated. But i can swipe that one away at least :D

Does anybody know where I can deactivate whatevwr is causing this norification? I do not want to activate roaming nor do I want to be reminded. I am using wifi abroad.

Some question in Rom CyanogenMod 12.1 (G360H)

I realized when using Lucky Patcher , it will conflict with the Rom (CM12.1) , sometimes I get message from "Lucky Patcher was allow ..." or open that app , it automatically restarts ( Quick Reboot ) , right?

Using use Google Chrome - Messenger(FB) so lags, my phone stoped - i was hard reset and get a bootloop Logo boot screen :(

When using Facebook or Messenger , it load poor quality images , but the images are very good on the my PC ? how can i do or with any tweak build.prop ?

What device after Galaxy S2?

Hi,

Can anyone suggest an android device that will replace my old Galaxy S2 (i9100)?

I have following core requirements:

1. Must have an active car holder (should not matter, I can buy Brodit custom holder for most models)
2. I use waze navigation, torque and tunein radio in car. Charge unit must handle LCD on 100%, GPS, Bluetooth communication, 3G streaming and up to 40-50% CPU load. My old SGS2 when put in car takes 1300-1500mA (reported by powertutor) with charge unit that takes no more than 800mA-1100mA from charger (reported by ampere) and I battery is empty after 4-5 hours of use.
3. Dual system GPS
4. Replaceable battery. I am using my SGS2 for about 5 years, second battery and it still works well in most situations.
5. Small screen if possible. I realize that after 5 years phones grew up and I will not be able to but new 4.5 inch phone anymore....
6. Open specification so I can install CM based rom when device stops getting upgrades from producer. I have CM11 in SGS2 and I cannot use usb-audio due to vendor locked hardware....
7. Not current "flagship phone". They are seriously overpriced.

Oneplus 3 great phone.

Hi, wanna open a thread for people whoever doesn't have any major problems with the $400 Oneplus 3. Every phone even the Galaxy s7 edge and the iPhone 6s have their own little problems. Whatever Oneplus offers for the $400 its an amazing device. I personally had the two oneplus 3's and only time had problems was because of rooting or installing other rom's. Not saying not to install roms and enjoy the hard work of all the Dev's. But on stock how the phone came from Oneplus I had zero problems. I think we should have a a place so people can see that not everyone is having a defective phone. This is the best phone for the $400 that anyone can spend.

Look at it it's a killer design and killer spec's and fastest device. Enjoy everyone.

Wiko Rainbow Jam seems hard to root: I'm looking for help

Hi all,

I have a Wiko Rainbow Jam (which is provided with the stock rom "Wiko Rainbow Jam version 8", Android Lollipop 5.1 and the latest updates from Wiko), is about a week that I attempt to root my phone, but I am unable to do this operation, since I am totally unable to mount the /system as RW, and furthermore the bootloader is locked.

Firstly I found this method which consist to write/flash the TWRP custom recovery in place of the original one:

But seems that these two methods will wipe/erase everything on my phone, and I would avoid this risk.
I also read that by flashing another custom recovery I will be unable to install updates from Wiko.

Then I tried this method using adb which is more simple:

But when I launch the "adb root" command, all that I get is "adbd cannot run as root in production builds"; so I attempted various workarounds to "fix" adb, but all unsuccesfully.

I have to mention the fact that I have some skills in using Linux and the shell commands: maybe there would be a way to place the "su" binary on my Phone using Linux on my computer, by logging on the phone as root user, by acquiring the needed privileges?

Any help/suggestion/hints would be very appreciate! :good:

flashing another region stock rom

I have SM-G920F which I got from Thailand. It has Build number G920FXXS4DPHI & 920FXXU3D9FV Baseband. This stock rom region has some functions locked like SpO2 in S health. So I want to flash another region stock rom from http://ift.tt/2bD1tbx by Odin. But I have some questions before I proceed.

1. Which Country/region rom (GSM version) should I use that has no limits in all features including call recording
2. Will flashing new stock rom with odin delete my data like contacts, messages & apps? Or it will be like an update?
3. Is samsung-updates.com an official site? Is it a trusted source?

"athene" VS "athene _f"

Hello,

I booted into the fast boot/bootloader mode, and there instead of "athene", it displays "athene_f".

Variant - XT 1643

So, is it safe to flash the stock ROM(and other custom ROM's) which are available for XT1643(athene), on this device.

Cause I'm a bit confused, as to if "athene" and "athene _f" is the same thing, or has a bit different hardware.

Admob help

Hey all,

I just had a question regarding Admob and webview.

I have an app (isn't complete yet) which displays a 'Google search' webview.

My question is, is it legal for me to put an Admob banner above this webview (attached image)? I've checked online, but can't seem to find the answer. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out and my apologies if the question is unclear or hard to understand. Thank you.

Help needed to bypass Lock Screen

Hi, I am trying to unlock a Galaxy J1 Ace SM-J111F/DS for my colleague. The phone belonged to his younger brother who had passed away in an accident, now that he's gone, we have no information as to now to unlock his phone.

I have tried researching and searching around for methods but to no avail. I was hoping maybe someone here could provide some assistance :)
A factory reset is out of the question as he needed to access information stored inside the phone

Some device details:

• Device is locked by a pattern lock
• Unable to unlock via Google account(No one in his family knows his account name/password)
• Phone is not Rooted
• Phone is FRP Locked

Things I have wanted to try and done so far:

• Intended to flash a bypass to unlock the lock screen
• Attempted to flash a custom recovery in order to flash the bypass, however FRP is locked and it does not allow a custom recovery to be flashed
• Attempted various methods of "security exploits" to unlock, but appears to be patched on current firmware
• Tried to search methods of unlocking FRP, however all the methods I've seen so far requires access to developers option, or requires a flash of stock firmware.
• Tried accessing device via ADB, however it does not work as USB debugging is not enabled

I'm currently out of options trying to do this by myself, we would really appreciate it if someone could help us out in this :)

can't delete netalpha virus from android device.

hello everyone.
recently i found a problem that i never seen before.in my friend htc 620g device she accidently installed a application and it continuously installing app.then she showed me i understand it was a trohjan and then i deleted every app associated it.but here is one thing that i cant delete.i tried almost everything only remain is to install newly the firmware to remove it from device but i thing it should have a specific solution..

i given hard reset it doesn't work..i deleted it it unstalls but after rebooting the device it again come back autometically.that's why i have taken the sample of this virus there is another one too but i thing solving will make the end of another..

this app is call netalpha..
i taken the app and decompile it.it autometically takes the root access..i also rooted the device and unstalled it manually autometically but still it doesn't delete.also tried safe mode still that doesn't work.

after decompiling the app i found another apk file that is hidden inside the app which name was protect.apk...
and most interesting thing that apk contains only a classes.dex file but this file is unreadable and can't extract neither can read..so i thought i may share with u guys for better understanding how to get rid of this...

Need help, after replacing screen

Hello every body, hope u're all good
I have a strange problem with my S Duos, and I hope I find a solution from you

So, my phone won't accept any ROM even his stock ROM (jb4.2.2), while it accepts just a version of cm I downloaded the last year, it's (cm-12.1-20151025-UNOFFICIAL-kyleprods.zip ), so, all roms I've tried was being successfully installed with cwm, but when I reboot the phone, it just shows the Samsung logo, and after a while it turns to blank (the screen is just lighting when I press home or power button).
I notice, that i've replaced the phone's screen. And the previous screen was accepting all Roms

Hope I find a solution

Confusion understanding updates (end my battery issues)

After getting sick of battery drain in the first few days of owning this phone, I sought to update it.
My phone was on B137, and I downloaded a B161 update which improved battery a fair bit, but I am now a little confused as I have a C900B161 and can't find this rom to download anywhere.

My questions:
So the C### is a regional thing from what I've gathered.
Can I simply download any region B170 update and run it, or have I done wrong doing so with installing B161 already?

Why is there such a battery drain issue?

Phone bricked, can only access fastboot, bootloader locked

Device isn't detected in flash mode, only works in fastboot mode. I was able to get another handset with the same model number (e5823) to work in flash mode so I think it's a problem specific to this handset. Are there any options for unbricking my phone with fastboot with the bootloader locked? I would prefer to keep it locked because if I can't get it fixed myself I can at least make a warranty claim but if anyone can help me to recover the device using fastboot it would be greatly appreciated.
